    Blue               Diamond               makes               almond               milk               in               Original,               Vanilla               and               Chocolate               flavors,               all               of               which               can               either               be               bought               sweetened               or               unsweetened.

    An               eight-ounce               serving               of               Blue               Diamond               Almond               Breeze               (sweetened,               original)               has               60               calories,               2.5               grams               of               fat,               7               grams               of               sugar,               and               one               gram               of               protein.

    The               sweetened               vanilla               flavor               has               similar               properties,               but               with               90               calories               and               15               grams               of               sugar               instead               -               suitable               for               making               hot               chocolate.

    In               the               unsweetened               variety,               an               eight-ounce               serving               has               40               calories,               3               grams               of               fat,               zero               grams               of               sugar               and               one               gram               of               protein.

    Nutrition               Action               Healthletter               recently               named               the               10               worst               foods               which               are               deadly               to               your               diet.

    Of               course,               these               foods               are               also               some               of               the               most               delicious               'comfort'               and               convenience               foods               as               well.

    Nutrition               Action               Healthletter               is               published               by               the               nonprofit               Center               for               Science               in               the               Public               Interest.

    They               have               no               commercial               affiliations               and               do               not               feature               advertisements               in               their               periodical.

    Their               sole               purpose               is               to               inform               the               public               about               the               health               effects               of               different               foods.

    They're               similar               to               Consumer               Reports               in               that               they               have               scientists               and               nutritionists               to               work               on               the               data               to               support               their               claims.
                   Worst               Food               #1               -               Pepperidge               Farm               Roasted               White               Meat               Chicken               Premium               Pot               Pie
                   One               half               of               a               pie               has               510               calories               and               9               grams               of               fat.

    Many               people               don't               read               the               label               and               will               eat               a               whole               pie.

    If               you               eat               the               whole               pie,               the               fat               intake               goes               up               to               31               grams               (including               the               hidden               fat               from               the               partially               hydrogenated               vegetable               oil).

    This               is               much               more               than               the               recommended               daily               amount.
                   Worst               Food               #2               -               McDonald's               Chicken               Selects               Premium               Breast               Strips
                   Who               can               resist               McDonald's,               especially               if               you               are               out               with               the               kids?

    One               order               includes               5               strips               and               contains               630               calories               and               11               grams               of               fat.

    Hardly               worth               it               for               such               a               small               amount               of               food.
                   Worst               Food               #3               -               Cheesecake               Factory'               6               Carb               Cheesecake
                   This               dessert               has               the               same               amount               of               calories               as               the               restaurant's               Original               Cheesecake               dessert.

    It               has               610               calories               and               29               grams               of               saturated               fat               (which               equals               one               and               a               half               day's               allowance               of               fat!)
                   Worst               Food               #4               -               Dove               Ice               Cream
                   A               half               cup               serving               of               Dove               Ice               Cream               has               300               calories               and               11               grams               f               saturated               fat.

    The               nutritional               information               is               almost               the               same               as               Ben               &               Jerry's               or               Haagen               Daz.
                   Worst               Food               #5               -               Starbucks               Venti               Caffe               Mocha               (20               oz.

                   This               treat               comes               with               whipped               cream               as               well               and               the               sugary               syrup               which               make               the               coffee               taste               so               good.

    The               calorie               count               is               490               and               the               fat               count               is               16               grams.

    Nutrition               Action               figured               out               that               you               can               make               a               healthy               treat               out               of               this               by               ordering               a               tall               size               (12               oz.)               and               asking               for               nonfat               milk               and               no               whipped               cream.
                   Worst               Food               #6               -               Ruby               Tuesday's               Fresh               Chicken               &               Broccoli               Pasta
                   The               menu               describes               this               dish               as               "fresh               pulled               white               meat               chicken,               fresh               steamed               broccoli               and               penne               pasta               tossed               in               a               parmesan               cream               sauce,               topped               with               Wisconsin               cheddar               cheese               and               then               baked".

    This               dinner               contains               2060               calories               and               a               sickening               128               grams               of               fat.

    Even               if               you               only               eat               half               of               this               dinner,               it's               still               a               huge               amount               of               calories.

                   I               still               can't               believe               that               someone               invented               this               meal.

                   This               brand               of               soup               is               crammed               with               salt.

    If               you               have               one               serving               (half               a               can)               you               are               consuming               more               than               a               half               day's               quota               of               salt.

    For               lower               sodium               brands,               try               Healthy               Choice               and               Campbell's               Healthy               Request.
                   Worst               Food               #9               -               Chipotle               Chicken               Burrito
                   This               fare               has               1180               calories               and               19               grams               of               saturated               fat,               plus               2900               mg.

    of               sodium.

    The               burrito               is               made               with               a               tortilla,               rice,               pinto               beans,               cheese,               chicken,               sour               cream               and               salsa.
                   Worst               Food               #10               -               Mint               Chip               Dazzler               from               Haagen               Daz
                   As               Rachel               Ray               would               say,               "Yummo!"               This               dessert               sounds               enticing.

    The               recipe               calls               for               3               scoops               of               ice               cream,               hot               fudge,               Oreos,               chocolate               sprinkles               and               whipped               cream.

    It               has               1270               calories               and               38               grams               of               saturated               fat               (2               day's               worth).
                   As               you               can               see,               it's               easy               to               find               the               worst               foods               in               supermarkets               and               in               dining               establishments.

    It's               just               a               little               Snickers,               right?

    So               I               don't               mind               if               I               have               just               one               fun               size               candy               bar-               well,               make               it               two.

    There's               not               enough               calories               in               a               fun               size               treat               to               warrant               worrying               about               calories.

    So               most               of               us               think.

    Take               a               look               at               the               caloric               content               of               our               favorite               treats-               just               because               they               come               in               fun               size               packets               doesn't               mean               they               don't               add               a               ton               of               not-so-fun               size               calories               to               your               diet!

    Here               are               the               most               popular               fun               size               candy               treats               and               their               amount               in               calories.

    Enjoy...

    A               single               fun               size               Snickers               is               72               calories.

    That               much               in               2               bites               of               chocolate?

    Sheesh!

    Likewise,               a               fun               size               Butterfinger               is               100               calories,               Reeses               Peanut               Butter               Cup               is               80               calories               (a               single               butter               cup               is               80               calories?!

    Wow!),               and               a               fun               size               Almond               Joy               (a               fave               of               mine)               is               91               calories!

    That               Snickers               is               looking               better               and               better...
                   A               fun               size               Hershey               bar               is               nearly               67               calories,               Whoppers               are               100               calories,               Milky               Way               (mmm)               is               76               calories,               M&M's               are               90               calories               in               their               fun               size               form               (peanut               ones               are               93               calories               so               just               go               for               peanut),               a               Babe               Ruth               is               85               calories,               Take               5               is               105               calories               (and               I               love               these               too),               and               even               a               3               Muskateers               is               almost               64               calories               for               a               fun               size               bite               or               2.
                   These               snacks               may               be               a               bit               on               the               high               side               for               about               2               bites               (maybe               3)               of               heaven,               but               not               all               fun               size               candy               is               loaded               with               calories.

    Some               are               50               calories               or               less               in               fun               size               form:               Peppermint               Patty               is               47               calories,               a               small               baggie               of               Jelly               Bellys               is               35               calories               (and               like               12               jelly               beans,               but               who's               counting?),               Nerds               are               50               calories,               Milk               Duds               are               40               calories               (but               you               get               like               3               of               them),               Mike               and               Ike's               are               50               calories,               and               if               you               love               Sweetarts,               then               you're               in               luck-               a               regular               roll               of               this               treat               is               10               calories!

    Woo               hoo!
                   So,               keep               in               mind               when               you               eat               your               treat               fun               size               that               you're               better               off               limiting               yourself               to               one-               maybe               two.

    But               you'll               probably               be               more               likely               to               stop               at               one               treat               once               you               realize               that               the               treat               may               be               tiny,               but               the               calories               aren't.
                   note:               these               are               the               fun               size               treats,               not               to               be               confused               with               the               miniatures.

    Fun               size               are               considerably               larger               than               the               one-bite               miniatures.

    Just               want               to               make               that               clear.
